This was my third visit to Taiwan. It was also the first time I'd actually bothered to apply for a visa in advance, which is ironic since as of this visit, Irish citizens no longer need one. Still, after what happened at Immigration the last time, I wanted to play it doubly safe. The photo essay is a bunch of more off-beat images from my visit, starting with this: me driving the moped around Green Island. You can already see the sunburn; I didn't realise there would actually be a complete season change after a train ride of just a few hours south.
